International Student Admission


 The university admissions process for non-Iranians will be through one of the following ways:

·         Scholarship (Type A and type B)

·         Non- scholarship (with the student’s own expense)

·         Entrance Exam (konkoor)


Admissions requirements

Nationality and residence

Only non-Iranian citizens residing in Iran who have legal residence permit can be admitted in this university.

Applicants with dual nationality (Iranian and non-Iranian) cant register.

Applicants should have the residence permit in Qom. (A confirmation must be obtained from the Provincial Government)

Applicants must present the following identification documents for initial admission:

Political asylum booklet issued by Islamic Republic of Iran Police Force.

Valid passport with visa and residence for at least six months.

Identity card issued by Bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs of the ministry of interior in that year.

The university is required to send a photo of pages of passport and initial application form to the Educational Services Center. After final approval by the Educational Services Center the definitive registration will be done.

Non-Iranian applicants who live in Iran can apply according to the rules and regulations is inserted by the National Organization of Educational Testing in Manual of the konkoor booklet.


Health certificate

      Holding a valid physical and mental health certificate issued by the panel physician of the IRI Embassy and the university.

Note: part of the physical health will be judged according to the booklet No. 2 of the entrance exam of the same year (appendices and the efficiency of the members)


 Tuition fees

Tuition fees for one year must be paid at the beginning of the first academic year, in order to detect that the applicant has the ability to pay university tuition and living expenses in Qom ( for the non-scholarship students).

      The tuition must be paid at the beginning of the semester. In otherwise the applicant does not have the permission to select his or her credits.

The university has no obligation to provide a dormitory for non-scholarship (with the student’s own expense).


 Persian language skills

       Sufficient proficiency in the Persian language according to success in Persian Language Test.

Applicants sufficient proficiency in the Persian language will be tested by one of the following ways:

       A)     Proficiency of Applicants who spend their previous educations in Iran is acceptable.

       B)      Proficiency of other applicants who didn’t spend their previous grade in Iran should be approved by Valid Persian Learning Centers like Imam Khomeini International University in Qazvin and then it should be approved by the educational council of the university.

Applicants who don’t have any acquaintance with the Persian language should spend Persian classes in one of the Valid Persian Language institutions and applicants should pay its costs.


Special requirements:

Applicants who want to apply in MD should have a High School Diploma and Pre-University Program Certificate. GPA of 18.00 (out of 20.00 ) which must be approved by competent authorities.

Applicant who wants to apply in MSc should have a GPA of 16.00 (out of 20.00)

Applicants who don’t have the diploma as valuable as Diploma of the Islamic Republic of Iran should spend an extra courses to obtain the requirement of Iranian high school diploma. The length of the courses is going to be determined by the university and successfully pass the pre-university courses.

Applicants who have the diploma from the Islamic republic of Iran schools in foreign countries can continue their education in universities in Iran.


Age conditions

Non-scholarship, who have a high school diploma, should have maximum age of 24 years for Associate degree, BS and MD.



First and second semester

Investigate documents and submit them to the related faculties

Doing interview and different examinations in faculties and presenting results to the University headquarters

First and second week of August

Setting up University Education Council and Finalizing the results

Third week of August

Announcing the results to the applicants and sending request to the Ministry of Education Services Center

Last week of August

Final admission and confirming scientific competency of applicants in related system after Approval of Ministry

At the same time with admission of Konkor entrance students in middle week of September


Each year education council in the faculties deliberates an interview process and sends the result of their meeting to the Julys education council for final approval.


Required Documents for Initial Admission for non- scholarship applicants:

-       A receipt equivalent of the admission fee of Ph.D and acceptance of the specialist assistant of the Ministry of Health (announced by the Medical Center of Educational Testing)

-       Completed application form for acceptance

-       A copy of the educational qualifications

-       A copy of the image of identity documents (passport - identity card and exit visa paper)

-       A 4 × 3 new color photo with its file


The evaluation process of non- scholarship students documents:

After admission, the applicant will be introduced to the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Province/ministry of interior to export recoupment account and Introduction to consular affairs, and then the Ministry of Health.


Education tuition

Tuition fees of non-scholarship students (with the  personal expense) are approved by the Board of Trustees of the University and it will be increased 10% each year.

 According to existing regulations,each year 60,000,000 Iranian Rial will be added to the tuition.
