Introduction 

The Department of Physiology of Qom University of Medical Sciences was established in 2013 as the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology. The main goal of the group is to educate students in the fields of medicine, dentistry, nursing, midwifery and paramedicine. Currently, the faculty members of this group are in charge of teaching physiology courses for students in all fields of Qom University of Medical Sciences. Currently, due to the number of people in the group and the development and diversity of the department's activities, the physiology department has been operating independently since the beginning of this year.

Goals and Mission

The mission of the Department of Physiology is primarily to improve the scientific level of medical and other university students in physiology topics as well as research activities in the field of interest and expertise of the members, and in this regard, it pursues the following goals:

1- Providing and teaching theoretical and practical courses in physiology to students of all grades and disciplines in Qom University of Medical Sciences;

2- Conducting basic and applied research in the areas of interest and expertise of the group members;

3- Training of expert and capable people in the direction of education and research in various fields of physiology
